The last economical report of the Economical Analysts of Andalucía, an independent entity of Unicaja, states that the economy of Málaga will start to recover around mid 2010 impulsed by the Tourism sector. This sector will start to show positive data as from next summer.

As from the second half of next year, Málaga will start its economical recovery, lead by the tourism sector, as this sector will show positive data next summer, according to the economical forecast of the Economical Analysts of Andalusia, an independent entity of Unicaja.

However these analysts state that their forecast is subject to important changes taking into account the daily variations in the Spanish and the international economy. During the last trimester, the economical forecasts have been more positive than expected. This has been the case in the services sector, for example, which reacted in a positive way.

Moreover the analysts state that although the increase in the jobless rate will be reduced, the labour market will still experience some job destruction. They also state that the rhythm of recovery will be fairly slow, and especially the effect on job creation will be low.
