Dimas CuestaLaw Degree from the UMA College of Law.

Master's Degree in Business Feasibility in Insolvency Proceedings from UMA School of Economics.

Master's Degree in Urban Law and Real Estate Activities from the University Carlos III. Instituto Pascual Madoz. Sociedad de Planificación y Desarrollo. Madrid.

During his Law Degree he won a scholarship to study several subjects of Mercantile and Commercial Law and International Private Law at the "University of Miami School of Law". He also was the youngest competitor at the "Stetson University College of Law. Environmental Moot Court Competition" and obtained the first Spanish victory in the history of the competition.

Career:

Until 2001 Dimas developed his career in Law Firms with offices in London specialized in Commercial Law and providing with holistic advice to UK based companies investing in Spain. In 2001 he joined the largest Law Firm in Málaga at the time specialized in Commercial and Anglo-Spanish transactions. In 2005 he joined Lexland Abogados as a Partner.

He is an authorized Insolvency Practitioner listed at the Commercial Spanish Courts and the Spanish Bar Association. He is also a member of the International Bar Association under the SIRC (Section on Insolvency, Restructuring and Creditors' Rights).

Teaching Experience:

Dimas carried out teaching experience in collaboration with the International Private Law Department at the University of Málaga. He regularly publishes articles in relation to his areas of expertise.

Areas of Expertise:

Commercial Law and Corporate Law. Dimas has a vast experience on commercial law and insolvency proceedings and advises UK owned groups of companies in relation to multijurisdictional commercial and insolvency issues. He is included on the list of Judicial Insolvency Practitioners of the Spanish Bar and is part of the Creditors' Rights and Insolvency Proceedings Section of the International Bar Association. He provides with advice to other Insolvency Practitioners, Accountants, companies and individuals on both contentious and non-contentious insolvency matters. This ranges from operations of restructuring and reorganizations through to all sort of insolvency proceedings, administrations and liquidations for companies especially those connected to the real estate sector.

Urban Law, Commercial and Residential Property, Real Estate Taxation. Dimas acts for a wide range of clients dealing with property development, investment and management. Work includes both commercial and residential property. He specializes in tax-efficient property structures and other single purpose vehicles.
