Company creation increases after a two years decline

The creation of companies in Alicante picks up after two years of decrease in volume of new business. In the province of Alicante 377 new companies have been set up in November 2009, representing a increase compared to the same month last year, when it reached 362. The Valencia as a whole was the fourth autonomy in creating companies, with 848 companies, behind Madrid, Catalonia and Andalusia, according to statistics released last Thursday by the INE.

Based on these data, in this period a total of 6947 companies have been set up in Spain, 4.6% more than the same month last year and 10.5% more than in October 2009, with a subscribed capital of 338 million euros.

In Valencia, 286 companies increased their capital with 317,972 EUR compared to 149,908 EUR and 292 companies during same month of 2008. The subscribed capital in the capital increases reached a increase of 2.1% and surpassed the 2,898 million EUR, while the average capital subscribed in these operations (1,027,373 EUR) grew by 13.3% over the last year.
